Ages 14–18 · Spartan Challenge Graduates Only
Spartan Leadership Training
The Spartan Challenge was the gate. This is what comes after it.
Six months of tracked growth in academics, fitness, leadership, and tactical skills, with a personal record that follows your graduate from here into SALT and beyond. Two tracks: Spartan Leadership Training for every graduate, and SALT — an invite-only advanced program for those who earn it.
Open to all Spartan Challenge graduates. Contact us to confirm the next cycle start date.
Why This Exists
Graduating the Spartan Challenge proves a trainee can finish something hard. But finishing is not the same as growing. Most programs end at graduation. This one starts there.
Spartan Leadership Training is a six-month structured program that holds graduates accountable to the same standard they met at the Spartan Challenge — every week, not just one weekend. Academics, physical fitness, leadership, and tactical skills are all tracked, graded, and recorded.
For graduates who demonstrate the discipline and character to go further, SALT — the Spartan Advanced Leadership Track — is an invite-only add-on with four levels of progressively demanding coursework, in-person training at Goldendale, and a capstone project. SALT is not offered. It is earned.

The Program
What They Do
Dashboard
Every trainee has a personal dashboard showing their progress rings, minus counter, next due dates, Spartan Challenge record, and balance. SALT trainees submit a nightly report directly from the dashboard.
Academic
Spartan Leadership Training: a required book list with written reflections and assigned training videos. SALT: 25 weekly modules per level across four levels, each with video, reading, online questions, an essay, and instructor grading.
Physical
Intake measurements, a custom fitness plan, weekly assignments, and monthly check-ins. Every measurable — mile time, ruck distance, body composition — is charted over time. Monthly 12-mile ruck target.
Leadership
Spartan Leadership Training: a verified volunteer log tracked against an admin-set target. SALT: leadership assignments, instructor assessments each cycle, and a full roster check-in history.
Tactical
Monthly Goldendale training attendance. SALT trainees build a certification grid across ten skills: land navigation, survival, rappel and rope, ruck packing, medical, operation order, radio communications, trailer hookup, vehicle operation, and tactical driver certification.
Weekly Task List
A weekly accountability form submitted and timestamped each week. SALT trainees include sections for homework, fitness, and home and school tasks, plus a Notified checkbox confirming they reported to their leadership.
Minus Log
Minor and major minuses are tracked automatically and by admin. Three minors equal one major. Three majors — or nine minors — means removal. A missed or late nightly report creates a minor automatically.
Self-Assessment
Ten questions on a 1–5 scale covering discipline, confidence, communication, purpose, physical health, consistency, honesty, service, leadership, and follow-through. Taken at cycle start and cycle end, shown side by side.
Calendar
One page with every date for the current cycle: Goldendale training, monthly check-ins, presentation days, task list due dates, payment due dates, and cycle start and end. Admin edits dates in one place and they update everywhere.
Spartan Challenge Record
A permanent read-only record filled by admin at graduation: obstacle course scores, physical fitness scores, peer and instructor leadership assessments, character assessment, proficiencies, and awards.
Presentations (SALT)
Admin logs each in-person presentation with date, topic, length, score, and notes. Entries stack into a permanent portfolio visible to the trainee.
Capstone (SALT)
A living project page with a description, milestone list, updates feed, file uploads, and instructor assessment at each cycle end. The capstone is the culminating record of a trainee's SALT journey.
What Comes Next
The Path Forward
SALT is not offered to every graduate. It is extended by invitation to those who demonstrate the character, discipline, and performance to handle it. Completing Spartan Leadership Training is the first step toward that invitation.

For Parents
Every parent or guardian who provides an email address during enrollment receives a view-only login to the portal. You can see your trainee's profile, progress rings, and minus log at any time.
You will not be able to edit anything — the portal is your trainee's record, not yours. But you will always know where they stand.
For trainees under 18, a signed parent or guardian consent is required before enrollment is complete. We will walk you through that step when you submit the enrollment form.
